Nigeria: Miyetti Allah and Fulani Herdsmen Commence Vigilante Operations In Yorubaland

In a shocking development, a Miyetti Allah vigilante group has been spotted operating in Ondo state, Nigeria. This revelation was made by one Kayode Ajulo, a legal practitioner who narrated his encounter with one such Fulani Vigilante group on his way returning from Akure. Ajulo said that this group whom he described as terrorists were already mounting the highways with guns and openly doing "security work”. They have direct phone lines with the neighboring police stations confirming they are legit. Some of the Herdsmen Vigilante are wearing various Nigerian security outfits. This confirmed the police announcement in June that they will collaborate with Fulani Herdsmen to bring back peace in the country. Nigerians were also shocked when the Miyetti Allah announced too that they will...

Nigeria: Let the Court Decide El Zakzaky’s Fate – Presidency

The Presidency appeals to El-Zakzaky-led Shiite members to desist from needless violent street protests and await the decision of the court in Kaduna where their leader is currently being tried. The issue of El-ZakZaky is before the court in Kaduna and his supporters should focus on his on-going trial instead of causing daily damages, disruptions and public nuisance in Abuja. It is wrong to be in court and resort to violence at the same time in order to get justice for anybody accused. The destruction of public property in the name of protest is not within the right of this group of Shiite members and no government anywhere would have tolerated a situation where any group would take over public roads in cities as they have done in Abuja and interfere with the rights of other citiz...

Nigeria: UK Report Indicts Buhari on Killings of Thousands of Christians

The global independent report on the persecution of Christians authored by the Rt. Rev. Philip Mounstephen Bishop of Truro in the United Kingdom was recently concluded and submitted to the Government of the United Kingdom. The report was concluded on July 4, 2019. In its examination of the killings in Nigeria, IT focused on the killings from Fulani herdsmen along the middle belt regions of the country. It cited the unwarranted killings of unarmed Christians by Fulani herdsmen who are often armed with sophisticated weapons. It observed that the security structure in Nigeria appears reluctant to go after the attackers. The military is more tuned to go after the victims – the report claims. The report cites that Christians are clearly suffering persecution. The report claims the Buhari ...

Breaking News: Shi’ites Stage Peaceful Protest In Lagos

The Shi'ite movement headed by the incarcerated Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky are currently staging a peaceful protest in Lagos following the more volatile protest in Abuja that resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals. The protest is again to call the Nigerian government to obey the several court orders that have asked that El Zakzaky to be released for treatment. While speaking during the protest, one of the spokespersons pointed out that El Zakzaky has about 21 million following and that if their leader dies in prison, it will spell doom for Nigeria as these 21 million followers are ready and willing to die for him. We shall update you with fresh information should any emerge. https://www.facebook.com/ReportYourself/videos/433626960560810/

Nigeria: Court Rules El-Rufai’s Plan to Licence PFN Pastors in Kaduna Illegal

A Kaduna State High Court has ruled that the plan by the Kaduna State government to issue licences to the pastors of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) using the Religious Regulatory Bill is a gross violation of their fundamental human rights, which guarantees freedom of association and freedom of religion. Thus, inconsistent with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended). Therefore it is hereby declared illegal. The judge, Hon Justice D. Gwadah further added that the actions of the Kaduna State House of Assembly in proceeding to pass the bill into law despite the pending court proceedings and the subsisting court injunction restraining the action, "is an affront to this honourable court". This was declared today, June 19, 2019 in a ruling on the case...

Opinion: Northern Sentiment Southern Ointment by Mansur Isah Buhari

A northern or southern president cannot solve our problems, a Nigerian president can. You can't have excuses and results. Sentiments don't solve problems; they compound them. Every region in Nigeria has its peculiar sentiment issues. I chose to talk about northern sentiment because I can authoritatively do so without the fear of being sentimental. The north is most interested in having a northern President rather than a Nigerian president. The only experience and qualification one needs to have the total support of an average northerner to become a president is "Alhaji" or "Malam" contesting against a "mister". Now that the north is gradually burning, we want the rest of Nigeria to join us in speaking up because Nigeria now belongs to all of us. Most times when they do spea...

Nigeria: Snake Attacks Pastor In Abuja

A deliverance pastor in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, who was recently attacked by a mysterious big snake, says no form of attack will stop him from preaching the gospel of Christ and restoring destinies of the oppressed. An eye-witness told this reporter on Thursday that the pastor organised a thanksgiving on Saturday, praising God for His ''marvelous works'' in his life and family. Our source said the pastor, Levi Ogbonna of the House of Restoration in Jikwoyi, Abuja, has not been finding it easy in the area since he began the deliverance ministry. ''He occasional receive phone calls from persons who hid their numbers, warning him to back out. But he keeps insisting that he was called by God to set the captives free'', our source who is a member of the church said. Ogbon...

Opinion: The Desperate Agenda of an Evil Tyrant – Femi Fani-Kayode

Much has been brewing in the circles of power of our nation in recent weeks. Permit me to share some of my findings with my readers today. The rest will come later. Key players and leaders in the international community have warned President Muhammadu Buhari not to run for a second term but he has refused to listen. That is why he was in the United Kingdom for 16 days. He was not ill and he was not getting treatment for any ailment but he was consulting with and trying to convince the representatives of various foreign governnents, including the American, British and French, that he can still run in 2019 and win. My sources have confirmed to me that those he interacted with are not convinced but he has resolved to run regardless of their skepticism. They have asked him to probe...
