NMA Threatens Strike As Aggrieved Patient’s Relatives Kill Doctor In Delta
The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has spoken against the alleged killing of a Delta-based doctor identified as Uyi Iluobe, by relatives of a patient.
The incident reportedly happened on Saturday in Oghara, Delta State.
The NMA president, Uche Ojinmah, in a statement said the association received the news of the killing with shock and sadness.
The association described the onslaught on the doctor, by aggrieved relatives of a patient who passed away from suspected gunshot injuries as unjustifiable.
The statement read, “It is unbelievable that in the face of a debilitating medical brain drain, the few doctors that patriotically decided to stay back and take care of our fellow citizens are being murdered by same Nigerians.
