NMA Threatens Strike As Aggrieved Patient’s Relatives Kill Doctor In Delta

The Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, has spoken against the alleged killing of a Delta-based doctor identified as Uyi Iluobe, by relatives of a patient. The incident reportedly happened on Saturday in Oghara, Delta State. The NMA president, Uche Ojinmah, in a statement said the association received the news of the killing with shock and sadness. The association described the onslaught on the doctor, by aggrieved relatives of a patient who passed away from suspected gunshot injuries as unjustifiable. President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2023 Appropriation Bill into law. The President signed the 2023 transition budget in the early hours of Tuesday at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
