Also advancing at the ICC is its investigation into the gruesome rights abuses and killings of members of separatist Independent People of Biafra, IPOB. The group has come under repeated assault...

A mystery snake is said to have sneaked into the accounts office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Makurdi, the Benue State capital and made away with N36 million cash. Before now, JAMB candidates purchased scratch cards from JAMB state offices and other designated centers, to gain access to the Board’s website for either registration or to check their admission status but the reforms introduced by JAMB registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, recommended an end to the use of scratch cards. A team of auditors was dispatched to different state offices of JAMB to take inventory of the sold and unsold scratch cards and recover whatever money that might have either been generated or mismanaged during the period of the sale of scratch cards. Nigeria: Multi Choice, DSTV/GOTV to Shut Down

If Multichoice DSTV/GOTV will ever operate in Nigeria again after expiration of its license, the only option left for them is to go to licensed Signal Distribution company, that is Pinnacle Communications Ltd or ITS. Football: Newly-released Nigerian Super Eagles World Cup kit tops UK paper ranking

Hours after the Nigeria Football Federation and its partner, Nike, on Wednesday unveiled the kit Super Eagles will wear at the 2018 World Cup, British newspaper, Daily Mirror, ranked it top among the 19 kits so far unveiled across the world for the Mundial in Russia this June. That has set Nigerian fans excited! Why? The best Super Eagles kit at a World Cup was worn by the side that impressed the most since Nigeria qualified for its first World Cup in 1994, while the worst performance in Nigeria’s past five appearances was by the side that many fans believed wore the worst jersey. A coincidence? Or is there correlation between kit quality and team performance? After a Nigerian journalist, Andrew Randa, posted some designs he thought would be great for the Eagles last year, Nike ca...

The Nigerian leader was obviously reacting to criticisms that he may have violated the Federal character principle in some of the appointments made. The last time a compendium of appointments was done, the South West region led the rest of the country. President Buhari also explained that the policy prop...
