Biafra: Security Operatives Call on Nigerians to Ignore IPOB’s Sept. 14th Sit-at-Home Protest

Following a high-powered meeting of Nigerian security operatives, South-easterners have been directed to ignore the sit-at-home directive issued by IPOB. They are advised to go about their normal business, assuring them of their safety. IPOB had earlier issued a directive, calling for a sit-at-home on the 14th of September to protest the mass killings of innocent easterners during the Operation Python Dance 2. The Indeginous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared Ohaneze Ndigbo and the South-East Governors complicit in the recently announced Operation Python Dance 3 by the Nigerian Army. Speaking on behalf of IPOB, its publicity secretary, Emma Powerful wondered why the governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo have kept silent on the issue of the operation the army again plans to carry out in the South-East. When a business becomes unprofitable and insolvent, it is put through the bankruptcy courts where it undergoes financial ‘restructuring’. This can involve de-mergers, spin-offs and other activities that show that the original enterprise was flawed and is resulting in losses for its stakeholders. How bad does Nigeria have to get before we embark on bankruptcy proceedings? Breaking News: Senator Abaribe Arrested by DSS

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has been arrested by men of the Department of State Services (DSS). Senator Abaribe is the Senator representing Abia South in the upper house of the National Assembly. It is not yet clear why he was arrested but as at the time of filing this report, his home in Abuja has been cordoned off by officers of the DSS. It appears the men of the DSS are about to carry out a search of the residence. It will be recalled that the Senator is one of those that stood surety for Nnamdi Kanu, and had been instructed to produce him before the next hearing of his case.

Biafra: Sit-At-Home Order Paralysis South-East States

In celebration of this year's Biafra day on May 30th, Biafra agitators staged a sit-at-home protest which was said to have recorded about 95% compliance. The decision to stage sit-at-home protests to mark Biafra celebration day started last year as a result of the clamp down by Nigerian authorities on their non-violent street protests. According to Amnesty International, hundreds of unarmed protesters have been killed by the nation's security operatives at several peaceful protests. Senate Enyinnaya Abaribe, senator representing Abia South in the upper house and two others have been ordered by the Federal High Court Abuja to produce Nnamdi Kanu in court by June 26th 2018. Justice Binta Nyako, the presiding judge gave this order following Nnamdi Kanu's continued absence from court. It will be recalled that Nnamdi Kanu's whereabouts has been unknown since the Army stormed his father's house on September the 22nd 2017.
