Nollywood Stars Suspected to Have Been Kidnapped by Gunmen

Nollywood stars Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornell have reportedly been abducted by suspected gunmen after returning from a movie set in Enugu. Monalisa Chinda of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) disclosed the information on her Instagram page. She stated that the film stars were declared missing by their family members when they didn’t return from a movie set located at Ozalla Town in Enugu State. The Federal Government has vouched to sanction the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Trust TV for propagandising terrorism and banditry. The Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed made the announcement on Thursday. The value of the Naira has continued to fall and has now hit N700 to $1 in the parallel market as the demand for the foreign currency persists. As of last week, Naira was valued at N630 to $1 and has maintained a value of N620 to $1 before the further devaluation. INEC: New Voters Registrations Hit 10.4 million

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) disclosed that the registrations of Nigerians in the Continuous Voters Registration hit 10.4 million. The commission also stated that a total of 11 million registrants had their registration completed as of Tuesday. It was also revealed that 3.3 million of the registrants requested their registration online while 7.6 million registrants went for physical registration. Four hostages that were abducted from the train attack on the Abuja-Kaduna railway on the 28th of March, have been released. The hostages were released yesterday, leaving 43 captives in the custody of the terrorists.
