President Buhari Confirms Appointment of Four Supreme Court Judges
President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of four new Supreme Court Judges.
This was disclosed in a statement by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad who named the judges as Hon. Justice Tijjani Abubakar (North-East Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed L. Garba (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed M. Saulawa.
All the judges appointed are from the Northern Nigeria.
The president also approved the appointment of three heads of court, 11 judges for state high courts and four Kadis of Sharia Court of Appeal.
Despite the decline in the number of Justices, Buhari had refused to send the names of four justices of the Court of Appeal comprising Justices Adamu Jauro, Emmanuel Agim, Sam Oseji, and Helen Ogunwumiju, to the Supreme ...
