President Buhari Confirms Appointment of Four Supreme Court Judges

President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of four new Supreme Court Judges. This was disclosed in a statement by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad who named the judges as Hon. Justice Tijjani Abubakar (North-East Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed L. Garba (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed M. Saulawa. All the judges appointed are from the Northern Nigeria. The president also approved the appointment of three heads of court, 11 judges for state high courts and four Kadis of Sharia Court of Appeal. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has today ratified the sum of N8.49bn for the procurement of 12 items for the testing of deadly COVID-19 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
