David Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi State, has said that he is not against the Presidential ambition of Labour Party, LP, candidate Peter Obi nor is he against the emergence of a president of Igbo extraction. The governor issued the clarification on Friday in reaction to viral posts on social media alleging that he was against Peter Obi’s presidential ambition. The social media post attributed to Umahi also alleged that the Ebonyi State Governor has given up on the quest for the realisation of a Nigerian president of Igbo origin. President Muhammadu Buhari has received the report of a preliminary investigation conducted on the attack and release of some terror suspects in the Kuje prison, Abuja. ASUU Strike: Aviation Union Set To Shut Down Airports

CBN To Continue Securing Election Materials – INEC

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has expressed its resolve to continue storing sensitive materials with the Central Bank of Nigeria. Festus Okoye, the National Commissioner for Information and Voter Education, INEC, disclosed this during an interview with Channels Television on Monday.
