Yobe Declares Monday, Tuesday Public Holidays Due To Buhari’s Visit

Yobe state Governor, Mai Buni has announced Monday and Tuesday as public holidays in the state to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the state Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, in Damaturu on Sunday.

President Buhari will visit the state to inaugurate projects executed by the state government such as the Cargo Airport, Ultra-Modern Market, and Maternal and Child Health Care Complex.

Bilal said, “This is to enable civil servants and the general public to receive the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who will be in the state on a one-day State Visit to commission projects.”

The statement, however, added that civil servants were to resume work on Wednesday.
