Flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress, Osagie Ize-Iyamu has failed to win his Local Government Area as Godwin Obaseki bettered him.
Despite winning his polling unit, Ize-Iyamu failed to deliver the council area.
Results announced by INEC showed Ize-Iyamu/APC scored 212,983 while Obaseki/PDP polled 295,296 votes to secure an 82,313 difference between the top contenders.
Result from the last LGA is set to determine the winner of the Edo State governorship election, although Obaseki maintains a firm lead.
