Xenophobic Attacks: Nigerian Senator Cautions Citizens Against Reprisal Attacks

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora, Non-Governmental Organisations and Civil Society Organisations, Senator (Dr.) Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru has cautioned Nigerians against reprisal attacks on South Africans and their investments in Nigeria. Basiru who is representing Osun Central Senatorial District at the Senate warned that reprisal attack on South Africans and their investments in Nigeria could lead to diplomatic row between the two countries. Xenophobic Attacks: AYDEC Calls for Swift Diplomatic Redress from African Leaders

African Youth for Development Commission (AYDEC) on Tuesday called on the United Nations, African Union Commission, Diplomatic Peace Organization, African Leaders and especially the Governments of Nigeria and South-Africa to swiftly swing into action by stepping up pragmatic measures towards putting a definite STOP to these repulsive acts leading to killings of Africans on African soil.
