The United States of America has vowed to impose visa ban on individuals who attempt to undermine Nigeria’s democratic process in the 2023 general elections. This was disclosed by the political counselor at the US Embassy in Nigeria, Rolf Olson, when he spoke at the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship alumni association seminar on Thursday. Nigerians, Others Denied Visa Due to Muslim Ban Can Reapply – US

The State Department on Monday said US visa applicants who were deprived of visa due to former President Donald Trump’s travel ban on 13 countries, mostly Muslim-majority and African countries, among whom was Nigeria, can now reapply. President Joe Biden had on January 20, 2021, overturned the Muslin ban on his first day in office, describing it as “a stain on our national conscience" in his proclamation. According to the State Department spokesperson Ned Price, applicants who were denied visa before January 20, 2020, must submit new applications and pay a new application fee. US lauds INEC, Security Agencies on Conduct of Edo Poll

The United States has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies on their good outing during the Edo State governorship election last Saturday.
