TVC Resumes broadcast After Being Vandalised

Following a four days hiatus due to an attack of its headquarters in Lagos by irate youths, Television Continental (TVC) has resumed broadcasting. A group of angry youths had attacked TVC’s headquarters at Ketu on Wednesday, wrecking its facilities thereby taking the station off air. The attack was part of destruction that took place after security operatives opened fire at peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate area on Tuesday. The reopening of TVC comes after the Nation newspaper resumed operation. The Nation’s headquarters was equally attacked by angry youths. Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu had appealed for an end to violence while urging all stakeholders to resist the urge to derail the developmental strides which had been recorded by the state.

BREAKING: Hoodlums Attack TVC in Lagos

Irate hoodlums have attacked Television Continental (TVC) headquarters in Lagos State on Wednesday (today). The thugs thronged the entrance of the Television station in Ikosi-Ketu area of Lagos and tried breaking in to the broadcast station. The attack on TVC, speculated to be owned by APC national leader, Bola Tinubu disrupted the broadcast of the station as programmes scheduled for Wednesday morning were delayed. The development comes after scores of #EndSARS protesters were killed on Tuesday by alleged security operatives in some parts of Lagos, notably at the Lekki Toll Gate. Some Nigerians have fingered Tinubu as one of the masterminds in the shooting of young Nigerians who are asking for an end to police brutality and reform of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
