Sports: Nigerian Super Eagles Making Waves with Their Outfit

It's an already known fact that the kit of the Nigerian Super Eagles took center stage. Following in this path, the Super Eagles traveled to Russia in a stylish traditional outfit that is already trending. The outfit which was designed by Nigerian designers David Bowler was to have been used at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil but was replaced at the last minute. There is no doubt that the Nigerians have made a very good impression with their kit and outfits. It is now left for them to carry over this trend of excellence unto the pitch of play. Nigeria will play against Croatia in its first match on June 16th by 8pm Nigerian time.

Football: Nigeria Loses 2:1 to England

As part of its preparations for the 2018 World Cup starting in Russia on June 14, the Nigerian Super Eagles lost by 2:1 to the English team in a friendly match played at the Wembly stadium. The English team took off to a quick start with a 7 minute goal headed in by Gary Cahill. They controlled the entire first half, missing a number of goals and then netting a second goal in the 39th through a Harry Kane shot. At the start of the second half, Nigeria made four changes, bringing in Etebo, Ogu, Ebuehi and Omeruo. Sports: Eagles Leave for London, Four Players Dropped by Rohr

As the Super Eagles of Nigeria prepare for the World Cup starting in about two weeks, the coach is whittling down the team to achieve the final 23-man squad. Before heading out to London for the friendly against the 3-Lions, the coach Gernot Rohr dropped four players. The players that were dropped included current top scorer in the Nigerian domestic league, Junior Lokosa, Plateau United's Dele Ajiboye, Lokomotiv Plovdiv's defender Stephen Eze and Standard Liege's midfielder Uche Agbo. Hours after the Nigeria Football Federation and its partner, Nike, on Wednesday unveiled the kit Super Eagles will wear at the 2018 World Cup, British newspaper, Daily Mirror, ranked it top among the 19 kits so far unveiled across the world for the Mundial in Russia this June. That has set Nigerian fans excited! Why?
