Igboho: Efforts Ongoing to Prevent his Extradition To Nigeria By Benin – Akintoye

Renowned historian Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, has confirmed the arrest of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho in Benin Republic. He stated this in a statement issued on Tuesday, noting that he and other Yoruba patriots are working hard to ensure that Igboho was not extradited to Nigeria. He noted that they had secured the services of a competent lawyer in Benin Republic. The National Assembly has approved a N4.87bn budget for the National Intelligence Agency to track, intercept and monitor calls and messages on mobile devices, including Thuraya and WhatsApp. The amount is part of the N895.8bn supplementary budget submitted by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), last month and approved by both chambers of the federal parliament last week after increasing it by about N87bn.
