FG To Toll Second Niger Bridge – Fashola

Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing, has stated that the temporarily opened Second Niger Bridge will be tolled. Fashola said that the bridge will be tolled to help make sure that the infrastructure is maintained to serve for several years. The Minister disclosed this during an interview with Channel Television’s Sunrise Daily on Wednesday. He added that the delay in delivering the project was due to the relocation of transmission lines connecting the East to the West across the Niger River and the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra. Second Niger Bridge To be Opened For 30 Days

The Federal Government has directed the opening of the Second Niger Bridge for use during the yuletide to ear traffic in the South-East region. The bridge was formerly opened in the late hours of Thursday. The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, who issued the directive on Wednesday at the inauguration of the bridge, stated that it will be opened for a period of one month during the festive period. Fashola said that the bride will be shut down to traffic on January 15, 2023.
