Pastor Enoch Adeboye The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he doesn’t know whether there will be an election in 2023 yet. The 80-year-old cleric said God has not told him whether there would an election next year. He said God spoke to him about the 2019 elections more than a year to the election but the case has not been so with the 2023 election. He quickly added that God might still speak to him about the 2023 general elections but He has not spoken to him yet. How My Sorrow Disappeared When I Lost My Son In 2021 – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday, shared how he got over his “deep sorrow” caused by the death of his son, Dare, last May. According to the octogenarian preacher, a text message from one of his spiritual daughters turned the tide following the death of his 42-year-old son in 2021. Pastor Adeboye Adeboye spoke at the international headquarters of the church along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during the April 2022 Holy Ghost Service of the church. Dare had passed on on May 4, 2021 during his sleep in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he pastored a church and was based with his family. Speaking on the theme, ‘Signs and Wonders’, on Friday night, the elder Adeboye said children are proofs that God is a Miracle Worker, a Cov...

Why I Dedicated White Garment Church –Adeboye

Pastor Adeboye The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said he dedicated a white garment church last September based on divine instruction. The cleric, who recently clocked 80 years, disclosed this on Sunday during a special sermon titled, ‘Going Higher (Part 54)’. The octogenarian had in September 2021 dedicated the Lagos cathedral of the Love of Christ Generation Church C&S (Worldwide), founded by Reverend Esther Ajayi amid sweeping criticisms by Pentecostals. But Adeboye, on Sunday, said he was directed by God to dedicate Ajayi’s church. The octogenarian said, “In Acts 11:1-18, after Peter came from the house of Cornelius, the great apostles gathered together, called him to a meeting and challenged him; ‘What were you ...

10 Reasons Osinbajo Will Ignite a Religious Civil War by Farooq Kperogi

A Yemi Osinbajo presidency would, without a doubt, plunge Nigeria into the depths of a smoldering religious volcano that will hasten its self-immolation. This isn’t some idly churlish oracular indulgence. It’s based on an intimate familiarity with Osinbajo’s trajectory of religious bigotry, overpowering anti-Muslim prejudice, and irrevocable devotion to the materialization of a Pentecostal, specifically RCCG, capture of the Nigerian state. Here’re 10 reasons for my fears: 1. The RCCG memo that asked churches to actively support its members vying for political offices was inspired by Osinbajo and is consistent with his history of exclusivist religious politics. In 2013, for example, he formed the Christian Conscience Group—along with Enoch Ajiboso, Dele Sobowale, and Most Reverend Josep...

He however said it is important that the special consideration is not enjoyed by relatives of people in government or “mistresses of big boys”. The Catholic priest spoke on the topical issue on Saturday at a book festival in Abuja. Bishop Kukah Quota system is designed to give opportunities to the best of under-represented segments of society. Recall that senators and members of the house of representatives voted against bills seeking to provide more opportunities for women in politics and governance. Reacting to the outcry over the issue, Kukah said the beauty of democracy is to expand the frontiers of knowledge, adding that “there are som...

Pmb And The Futurologists By Femi Adesina

It’s the beginning of a year, and it’s that time you hear all sorts from futurists, prospectivists, and foresight practitioners. The Good Book tells us of the 5-fold Ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. These are offices into which God has called some people, to lead, guide and comfort His people. Unfortunately, however, some people have decided to call themselves, and they go about, running riot all over the place with guess work, divination, and outright falsehood, all to beguile the people, pass themselves off as somebody, and ultimately make filthy money. Since he became leader of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari has been an object of the futurologists. They have come up with tons of predictions, many of which went wide off the mark, hittin...

Invading Church To Arrest Okorocha’s Son-In-Law Unacceptable – Anglican

The Anglican Province of Owerri, Imo State, says it will engage the police to find out why it desecrated the church while enforcing the arrest of Uche Nwosu at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama Obieri in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state on Sunday during a thanksgiving service. The church said that while it supports the arrest of individuals who committed crimes no matter how highly placed they are, the invasion of a church of worship by security operatives while service was ongoing was unacceptable. Nwosu, who is the son-in-law of former Governor Rochas Okorocha, was arrested by policemen at the church for reasons unknown but later released. The Archbishop of the province, Most Rev Dr David Onuoha, in a statement on Monday, said that the shooting of bullets and disp...
