FG Declares May 2nd, 3rd As Public Holidays

Federal Government has declared Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd 2022 as public holidays to mark this year’s Workers Day and EIdul-Fitr celebrations respectively. The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in a statement signed by Dr. M.L. Shuaib Belgore, Permanent Secretary, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government. The Minister congratulated workers across the country on this year’s celebration and commended workers for their hard work, diligence and sacrifice, noting that their efforts are largely responsible for the greatness of thecountry and the respect Nigeria now commands in the comity of nations. Yoruba Monarchs Move to Resolve Tinubu/ Aregbesola Rift

Former Governor of the State of Osun and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on Thursday, said his successor, Adegboyega Oyetola, waged war against him after he became governor. Aregbesola spoke in Ikire while addressing a rally held to garner support for his anointed candidate in Saturday’s Osun governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress, Moshood Adeoti. FG Declares Friday 25, Monday 28, January 1 Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Friday 25, Monday 28 December 2020 and Friday, January 1, 2021 as public holidays to mark the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Celebrations respectively. Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government. Aregbesola urged Christians to adopt the creed of Christ on faith, hope and love.
