ASUU Strike: Union Extends Lingering Strike by Four Weeks
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has decided to extend the lingering strike by four weeks after just concluding the previous five months' strike.
The Union first declared the closure of public universities on February 14, 2022, because of the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill the Memorandum of Action (MOA) agreed upon by the two parties in 2020.

Speaking on the new development, The National President of ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke said the Union decided to give the Federal Government time to resolve the issues between both parties.
