A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, Mr. Paul Amadi, has said the South-East would support the candidate of Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, to win the 2023 presidential election. A former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has said a former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, might have become his running mate if the latter had joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party, instead of the Labour Party, after exiting the Peoples Democratic Party. Kwankwaso, who is now presidential candidate of the NNPP, said the party would hold its presidential primary next week, even though he was the only aspirant who obtained the forms of the NNPP. A coalition of groups rooting for a former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, from within and outside Nigeria, said they have concluded arrangements to organise a one-million-man march in solidarity and support of the presidential bid. Pandora Papers: EFCC Summons Peter Obi

The former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, whose secret and illegal offshore activities PREMIUM TIMES reported in the ongoing Pandora Papers series, has been summoned for questioning by the EFCC, Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency. It is the first known action by any Nigerian law enforcement agency since PREMIUM TIMES started reporting influential Nigerians involved in offshore shenanigans exposed through the global Pandora Papers investigation. The presidency has directed that Nigerians exposed in the reports be investigated, those with knowledge of the directive have told this paper.
