Medical Doctors Commence Two-week Strike Over Shortage of Staff in Ondo

Due to the Shortage of Staff members, medical doctors of the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, Ondo state, under the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) have decided to commence a two-week warning strike. The Association decided to embark on the warning strike shortly after their general meeting was held in the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area. Speaking on the industrial action, the President of the ARD, FMC Owo branch, Dr. Olaopa Olutobi Gideon, said it was unavoidable as doctors were placed under extreme and harsh conditions. Why Owo Was Attacked Again – Akeredolu

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has disclosed the rationale behind the latest attack by gunmen on Craneburg Construction yard in Owo on Wednesday. He said the attack was intended to wreck some of the company’s assets, rather than to harm or kill people.   The Governor during his visit to the construction site along with Commander of the security network, Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye, and heads of security agencies in the state, asked residents to maintain calm.
