NUC: Teachers Still Yet to Enjoy the N30,000 Minimum Wage
Teachers across 15 states are yet to enjoy the N30,000 minimum wage increase since President Muhammadu Buhari signed the National Minimum Wage Act into law.
The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) says teachers in states such as Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Gombe, Niger, Borno, Sokoto, Anambra, Imo, Benue, Taraba, and Zamfara are yet to enjoy the agreed minimum wage even after the third year of the Act being passed into law.

According to the union, only 15 states which are Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers State including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are paying the implemented minimum wage to primary and secondary school...
