Biafra: IPOB Threatens to Disrupt Ohanaeze’s Meetings on Restructuring

DESPITE its apology and regrets for disrupting the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, meeting of Igbo leaders in Enugu recently, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, has threatened to disrupt any meeting of Ohanaeze Ndigbo meant to discuss restructuring of Nigeria, or 2019 election, as it insists that Biafra is non-negotiable. IPOB in a statement yesterday, blasted Ohanaeze Ndigbo for sabotage, warning that any meeting organised by Igbo leaders on restructuring and one Nigeria will be disrupted. Biafra: IPOB Expresses Outrage Over Disappearance of Nnamdi Kanu’s Case File at Appeal Court

The indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has expressed outrage over the alleged declaration that its leader’s case file was missing in court. IPOB said that the Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, yesterday, declared Nnamdi Kanu’s case file missing after over one year of trial adding that it was unthinkable that the appellate court would make such a pronouncement. This was contained in a statement signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful. World: ICC concludes preliminary investigation into Shiites massacre, continues probe of IPOB killings

THE International Criminal Court is moving gradually towards prosecution of Nigerian officials involved in the December 2015 massacre of members of Islamic Movements of Nigeria. The office of the prosecutor at the war crimes tribunal, which reached its preliminary conclusion into the killings in December 2017, submitted its findings to the Federal Government and demanded explanations about the incident. The ICC said the attack on IMN members, which was carried out by the Nigerian Army and condemned by human rights voices across the world, violated international statutes on human rights.
