Red Cross Trains Over 80 Volunteers on Safety, Security

Over 80 volunteers of the Nigerian Red Cross Society in Enugu have been trained on volunteer safety and security, African News Today has gathered. The three-day event sponsored by the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC, is aimed at increasing the access, acceptance, and security of the organisation’s volunteers as they respond to emergencies and humanitarian needs of the people of the state. Red Cross Advocates for Safe Motherhood as Women Conclude August Meeting

The Nigerian Red Cross Society in Enugu State have sensitised women of Agulu, Umana community in Ezeagu Local Government Area (LGA) on safe pregnancy practices and hygiene promotion on the occasion of their just concluded annual August Conference. Speaking during the exercise, the Health Coordinator of the Red Cross in the state, Mrs. Jessie Maduekwe admonished the women to imbibe the habit of good personal and environmental hygiene which she said is a "win for everyone except the germs."
