Drunk Corporal Crushes Army General To Death In Lagos

A brigadier-general in the Nigerian Army identified as Audu James has lost his life in an auto crash in Lagos. James who was the monitor-general of the senior executive course, Sec, 40 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPPS, Karu, Plateau State, passed on from injuries sustained after he was smashed by a car on Tuesday. Terrorist Attack – Seven Soldiers Feared Dead in Taraba

A suspected terrorist attack has left about seven soldiers dead in Taraba State. Reports say that the soldiers were killed in a forest located around Amdami in the Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State on Thursday. The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Karim Lamido council, Markus Hamidu, according to Daily Post. The soldiers were reportedly on patrol within the area. Nigerian Army Foil Terrorist Attack On Borno Community

The Nigerian Army has disclosed that troops of 25 Task Force Brigade repelled terrorists attack Damboa town in Borno State on Sunday. The troops were said to have overpowered the terrorists in a gun battle, forcing them to flee. The Army Director of Public Relations, Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement on Monday said two vehicles belonging to the Civilian Joint Task Force were razed during the gun duel. Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists have released pictures of the two soldiers and Yobe Liaison officer they abducted on Damaturu/Maiduguri highway on Saturday. The insurgents also released the identity cards of their abductees. In the display of the ID cards, two of the cards belong to Mai Lalle, one for Mustapha while the other belongs to Lpcl Oyediran Adedotun of the Nigeria Army. Army Announces Burial Activities for Late COAS, Other Officers

The Burial proceedings of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Late Lt.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahir and other senior officers has been slated for Saturday in Abuja. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima, said the event would commence at the National Mosque and National Christian Centre, Abuja by 10am respectively.
