Shagari’s Grandson Reacts to Kano Blasphemy Sentence, Asks Christians Not to interfere in Islamic Affairs
Shehu Shagari’s grandson, Bello Shagari has reacted to the sentencing of a musician to death in Kano for blaspheming Prophet Muhammad, asking Christians not to interfere in Islamic affairs.
Shagari disclosed this while reacting to the Upper Sharia Court’s judgement in Kano which sentenced a musician, Yahaya Sharif-Aminu to death for blaspheming Prophet Muhammad.
Protesters set Sharif-Aminu’s ablaze in March 2020 after he was accused of blasphemy.
Shagari was quoted by Sahara Reporters to have said, “Muslims should focus on their Islam, Christians should focus on their Christianity and disbelievers should focus on their disbelief. Everyone should practise what they believe. No belief should bother another in anyway and anyone who does so, has intruded. Fact! Peace.”
