NBA To Prosecute Lawyers Involved In Vandalism Of Conference Centre

Mr. Olumide Akpata, the outgoing President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has promised to prosecute any lawyer found culpable in vandalization of booths, theft of phones, and assault on officials during the conference of the association. Akpata stated this on Thursday during the Annual General Meeting of the NBA which is taking place at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos. Strike: ASUU Reacts To Parents’ Proposal To Pay N10,000 To End Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has turned down a proposal by the National Parent-Teacher Association of Nigeria, NAPTAN, to contribute at least N10,000 per parent in every academic section in an attempt to bring the lingering strike to an end. Dr. Ademola Ekundayo, NAPTAN Public Relations Officer, in an interview said the effort was to assist the Federal Government to meet the demands of ASUU.
