Ebonyi Artiste Beaten To A Pulp Over APC Campaign Song

Kelvin Ibinabo, an Ebonyi State artiste has been hospitalized after he was allegedly beaten by an aide to the State Governor, David Umahi. The aide identified as Machiavelli Uzo, the Coordinator of Ohaozara Development Centre in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. According to the musician who spoke to Punch on Tuesday, Uzo alongside his supporters attacked him on Saturday and locked him up in a dark room. Excessive Fast Can Damage Kidney, NAFDAC Warns

Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has warned that excessive fast can cause kidney problems. The NAFDAC DG stated this on Monday while interacting with journalists in Abuja, noting that using substandard, unwholesome products can equally lead to kidney failure and death. FUTA Student Commits Suicide Over Fraud Allegation

Olona Oluwapelumi, a 300-level student of the Federal University of Technology, has taken his life at his residence in the Aule Area of Akure, Ondo State. The deceased who was widely known as Black, was reported to be a student of the Department of Industrial Design at the university. He committed suicide by hanging himself in his room. At the time of filing this report, the reason behind his action was unknown. Nigeria To Spend 60% of Revenue On Debt Servicing In 2023 – Finance Minister

The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, has said that the country intends to reduce its debt service-to-revenue ratio to 60 percent this year. Ahmed stated this during an interview with Bloomberg TV on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday. Recall that Nigeria recorded a debt service-to-revenue ratio of 80.6 percent in 2022 -a figure much higher than World Bank’s suggested 22.5 percent for low-income countries such as Nigeria. The latest report released by an international confederation against poverty, Oxfam, has shown that the three most rich men in Nigeria have more wealth than 83 million citizens. The global inequality report was released at the start of the annual World Economic Forum, WEF, meeting in Davos, Switzerland, on Monday.
