2023: Shun Divisive Rumours – Abia Speaker

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji has advised Politicians in the state to shun acts capable of truncating the peace, unity and progress between the two Arms of Government in the state and the people of Abia at large. The Speaker who made this known in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe said Abia state legislature and the executive arm have both enjoyed warm and cordial relationship in the last seven years and would continue to do so till the end of the administration. The leadership of the All Progressives Congress may have decided to zone the National Secretary position of the APC to the South-East while the North-Central will get the chairmanship of the party. The deputy national chairman (South) is expected to go to the South-South. Despite the order of Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja that the Department of State Services should allow Nnamdi Kanu to have a change of clothes, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra yet again appeared in court on Wednesday with the same designer wears he wore when he was re-arrested and brought back to Nigeria in June 2021. Osinbajo-led Economic Council Recommends Fuel Increase To N302 Per Litre By February

The Nigerian government may increase the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol, to N302 per litre in February 2022 as part of the recommendations of the National Economic Council (NEC). This is part of the government’s plan to completely deregulate the PMS prices, eliminating monthly subsidy payments with provisions to ensure fair competition in the market, TheCable reports. The NEC is headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo. Petrol price is currently between N162 and N165 per litre in Nigeria. Nigeria is set to launch the second satellite (Sat 2) into the orbit to boost the nation’s satellite communications’ capacity.
