ASUU Strike: NLC Mulls Protest Over Lingering Crisis
The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has threatened to embark on a one-day national protest over the continued ASUU strike and to persuade the Federal Government to settle their labour dispute with university-based unions.
The NLC said that a review of its reports showed that not much has been to meet the demands of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and other university unions.
This was disclosed by Ayuba Wabba, the President of the NLC, during the opening of the National Executive Council meeting of the Congress.
The Congress leader asked all the affiliate unions of the NLC to issue notices on the imminent one-day national protest from next week.
