Kwara Imam Cautions Nigerians Against Personal Demands from Govt. Officials
The Chief Imam of Admiralty Villa Central Mosque, Sheikh Sa’adudeen Muhammad Jamiu, on Friday cautioned Nigerians to refrain from making personal demands from elected or appointed government officials.
The Cleric said this in Ilorin during a lecture delivered atJuma'at Service, saying such demands are often beyond what the officials could afford without breaching the law.
The programme was attended by the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and Senator Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe .
He reminded them of a duty to serve the people as a whole instead of being made to serve any selfish interest of individuals.
