2023 National Census: NPC To Engage 1m Nigerians
About one million qualified Nigerians will be engaged by the National Population Commission, NPC, to help facilitate the 2023 National Census.
The commission promised to conduct a credible census devoid of manipulation and hijack by interesting parties through the deployment of technological innovation.
This assurance was issued by Mr Deji Ajayi, the Commissioner representing Ekiti at the NPC while speaking at a press conference marking the trial census to be conducted in Ekiti. The trial will serve to test the readiness of the commission ahead of the main census next year.
Ajayi stated that nine towns across nine local government areas, selected out of the 16 councils in the state, have been delineated into Enumerated Areas, EAs, to ease the trial census.
