Any Fulani Herdsman Who Establishes Vigilante Group in Benue Will be Jailed – Governor Ortom
Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has said he would use rue of law to ensure that any Fulani herder who establishes a vigilante group is jailed.
Fulani rights organization, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, had in July announced plans to form security outfits across the federation to curb insecurity.
Bello Bodejo, National President and Secretary of the organisation, while making the announcement said the vigilante group would assist security agencies curtail kidnapping, cattle rustling and banditry.
In his response, Ortom warned the Fulani group not to come to Benue State, saying the state has its own security architecture.
