The rampaging terrorists were said to have attacked the area on Wednesday killing over 30 people. NCL Talks Tough, Ask El-Rufai to Reinstate Disengaged Workers

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, has said it is not backing down on its protest until the Kaduna State Government reinstates disengaged workers and forfeit plans to sack 11,000 workers. This was said by the Kaduna NCL Chairman, Ayuba Magaji, on Tuesday on the second day of protest against the mass sacking of workers by Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s administration. My Government Can Barely Afford Salary Payment – El-Rufai

The Kaduna State government has said that its revenue allocation from the Federation Account Allocations Committee, FAAC, since the middle of 2020, can barely pay salaries and overheads of workers in the state. This comes on the heels of the recent disclosure that the state government is downsizing its workforce because of the overstretch of public finances by huge wage bills at a time when revenue has dwindled.
