Nigeria Must Continue To Exist: Obasanjo Rules Out Yoruba Nation, IPOB

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday did not mince words about the unity and indissolubility of Nigeria when he said the country that sprawl over 923,768 kmĀ² with over 200 million people will continue to exist no matter what happens. Uche Mefor Places Curse On IPOB, Withdraws His Blessings

Uche Mefor, a former deputy of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the group said this on Wednesday. Mefor, in a post on his Facebook account on Wednesday, said he has withdrawn his blessing from the group. Kanu and Mefor who is the head of Information and Communication of the new Customary Government of Biafra, clashed with the IPOB leader last year due to his method of operating the group. Abia state governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has urged The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) to tone down its agitations saying the lockdown enforced in most south Eastern states today, August 9 is detrimental to Igbo people. Two persons were reportedly killed in Nnewi, Anambra State on Monday amidst near-total compliance with the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). IPOB Alleges Plot to Kill Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Department of State Services, DSS, of plotting to inject its leader, Nnamdi Kanu with a poisonous vaccine. IPOBā€™s Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, alleged that the poisonous vaccine was meant to kill Kanu slowly. In a statement he signed, Powerful warned that such an attempt should be jettisoned because the consequences would be severe. Nnamdi Kanu Not Arrested in the UK – British Govt

The British High Commission in Nigeria has said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was not arrested in the United Kingdom. It was reported that Kanuā€™s arrest was announced on Tuesday by the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF Abubakar Malami. The AGF, however, failed to state how and where the IPOB leader was arrested.
