Medical Doctors Commence Two-week Strike Over Shortage of Staff in Ondo

Due to the Shortage of Staff members, medical doctors of the Federal Medical Centre in Owo, Ondo state, under the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) have decided to commence a two-week warning strike. The Association decided to embark on the warning strike shortly after their general meeting was held in the headquarters of Owo Local Government Area. Talks With FG Panel Over Strike Fruitless – SSANU

The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions has said no tangible achievement was recorded at the Federal Government Renegotiation Panel. Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, the National Vice-President, SSANU, Dr. Abdussobur Salaam, said the panel met only once with SSANU since it was inaugurated on March 7, 2022. Varsity Workers Won’t be Cowed into Enrolling on IPPIS – ASUU Tells FG

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), accused the Federal Government of engaging in blackmail of its workers into enrolling on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). Dr Austen Sado, Chairman of the University of Port Harcourt Branch of ASUU, on Sunday said members of the union will not be pushed into enrolling on IPPIS despite some of its members not being paid salaries since February. Sado spoke in reaction to the order stopping the salaries of university workers who are yet to enroll on IPPIS.
