Seven Wedding Guests Killed by Suspected Gunmen in Imo

Seven wedding guests have reportedly been killed in Imo State by gunmen suspected to be Ebubeagu Security Operatives on Sunday. The Incident caused unrest in the state as the news surfaced on Monday. The wedding guests were returning from a traditional wedding that took place in Awommamaa in Oru West Local Government Area and they were heading back to their community in Otulu in Oru East Local Government Area. The Imo State Government will conduct a mass burial for the victims of the Friday night explosion at an illegal refinery located in a forest in Abaezi community in the Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area of the state. Six people were reportedly killed and one other injured as a combined team of soldiers and operatives of the Ebubeagu security outfit raided Umutanzi in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State. The Imo Police command says its operatives had killed two bandits during crossfire in Njaba Local Government Area on Saturday.
