3 Police Officers and an FRSC Officer Killed by Gunmen in Enugu

Gunmen have killed three policemen and a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) official in Enugu State, Nigeria. The attack occurred on Monday morning along the Obeagu-Amechi Road in Enugu South Local Government Area of the state. According to the report, the gunmen ambushed the police officers and the FRSC official while they were on duty. The assailants opened fire on them, leading to their deaths. Four Killed In Anambra As Police Intensify Patrol

Yet-to-be-identified gunmen killed at least four persons on Nzomiwu Street in Eziani community, Ihiala Local Government of Anambra State. Reports say the gunmen stormed the community on Tuesday and started shooting into the air, thereby killing the victims – three males and a pregnant female. The reason for the attack was still sketchy at the time of filing this report but a source in the area said the assailants immediately left the scene after killing the victims.  According to the source, the armed men shot indiscriminately as bullets hit four persons.   The incident was confirmed in a statement by the State police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, noting that the bodies of the victims had been deposited at the mortuary. Gunmen Burn Court In Imo – Second Incident In 24 Hours

Gunmen have set ablaze the magistrate court in Owerri, Imo State capital on Sunday afternoon. Reports say that no life was lost in the incident. The incident could not be confirmed by the Imo police spokesperson, Michael Abattam, as he did not respond to calls and messages when contacted. Meanwhile, the incident happened hours after a similar development. Gunmen had on Saturday set ablaze the high court in Orlu Local Government Area, LGA, of the state. Gunmen Ambush Bullion Van In Anambra

Gunmen ambushed a bullion van in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday. Reports say the bullion van was attacked around 4:00 p.m while conveying cash to an undisclosed location. The gunmen followed and shot at the van and security personnel attached to the van. The attack was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the State, deputy superintendent Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that it was a suspected armed robbery attack. On Wednesday night, suspected gunmen killed three police officers at Chime Avenue, New Haven, North Local Government Area in Enugu State.
