Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has retired from international football, his country’s federation has confirmed. Egypt and Ghana have both qualified for the African Cup of Nations on Thursday and were joined by Comoros and Gambia, who will make surprising debuts at next year’s tournament. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fined Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been fined $10,000 for social media posts. CAF said the post had tarnished its “honour and image”.
