FUOYE Invents Mail Dispatch Robot

Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) yesterday disclosed that its Department of Mechatronics had invented a mail dispatch mobile robot that would perform skeletal works and ease administrative tasks for better productivity in the institution The institution added that the invention would be officially inaugurated on December 15, as part of the programmes lined up for the convocation of the institution slated for December 18. FUOYE Appoints Foluso Ogunmodede PRO

The Federal University Oye Ekiti has appointed Foluso Ogunmodede as the institution’s public relations officer. Ogunmodede, who was until the appointment the Chief Information Officer to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, replaced the erstwhile PRO, Yinka Ademuyiwa. A statement from FUOYE on Sunday titled, ‘FUOYE gets new PRO,’ stated that the appointment was effective from September 1. Ogunmodede, a seasoned journalist, worked with The Comet, The Nation and The Compass newspapers and lately New Telegraph where he resigned as Deputy Editor (News) on April 1, 2021, to join FUOYE. My Reinstatement Confirms I was Wrongly Sacked – FUOYE Registrar

Mr. Olatunbosun Odusanya, whose appointment as Registrar, Federal University, Oye Ekiti, was terminated by the institution’s council on April 25, said on Tuesday that the Senate order reinstating him was confirmation he was wrongly sacked. Odusanya said, “My appointment was wrongfully terminated. I petitioned the university chairman, Dr, Mohammed Yahuza and the vice chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, before the upper chamber of the National Assembly. “The Senate looked at the petition and said that the allegations against me were not strong enough to sack me and consequently ordered the university authorities on Tuesday to reinstate me within seven days.” Odusanya, who spoke in a chat, said that the committee also ordered the university to reinstate the sacked bursar, Mrs. Bolatito...
