World Cup: Belgium Survives Japan Scare, Wins 3:2
Belgium looked like they were surely on their way out when Japan scored the first two goals of the match in about 7 minutes of the resumption of the second half. This was after the first half ended goalless.
Having played a goalless first half, the Japanese came in and shocked the Belgians with two quick goals. The first was scored in the 48 minute by Haraguchi. Inui followed 4 minutes later with the second, stunning Belgians and the rest of the world.
Belgium had to quickly get themselves organized and were able to pull one back in the 69th minute through Vertonghen. Fellaini who came in as a substitute got the second in the 74th minute and Chadli who also came in as a substitute go the winner in the 4th minute of additional time.
