NAFDAC Raises Alarm Over Suspected Fake Augmentin
The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has cautioned Nigerians against suspected fake Augmentin 625mg Tabs in circulation in the country.
The agency said the product did not meet up with the labeling requirements.
The alert which was signed by the management of NAFDAC and titled ‘NAFDAC Alert And Sensitization of the Public on Suspected Falsified Augmentin 625mg’ was uploaded on the agency’s website.
According to NAFDAC, the suspected counterfeit Augmentin which was produced in April 2021 would expire in April 2024, adding that the batch number is 562626 with NAFDAC registration number – 04-1928.
