Oyo Revokes Parcels of Land in Agodi, Jericho GRA over Alteration of Land Use, others

The government of Oyo State has approved the revocation of some plots of land located within the Agodi Government Reservation Area (GRA) and Jericho area of Ibadan. The revocation order, which was dated February 10, 2020, indicated that the affected plots of land were revoked for overriding public interest and for the use of the State Government. Lagos State Government on Thursday introduced a new culture of waste disposal and management with the launch of Blue Box Initiative aimed at achieving greener city and wealth generation. The initiative was launched by the governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Simpson Transfer Loading Station on Lagos Island. Three-storey Building Collapses in Lagos

A three-storey has reportedly collapsed in the Ososa area of Bariga, Lagos State. The building collapsed around 9.30pm on Sunday. According to the Eye witness, six people had been rescued, and that many more might be trapped in the rubble. Residents said men of the Lagos State Fire Service were already on the ground, but were unable to gain entry yet, because the road to the scene is really bad. Lagos Task Force Orders Removal of Illegal Structures, Kiosks on Badagry Expressway

The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force Lagos State Taskforce on Wednesday ordered the removal of all illegal structures, Kiosks and the end to commercial activities along Badagry Expressway within seven days. Task Force chairman, CSP Ola Yinka Egbeyemi disclosed this while addressing owners of these illegal structures and the traders at different at the expressway, warned them to immediately vacate all road setbacks and walkways within the stipulated date to avoid the wrath of law.
