Breaking: FG Reduces ElectricityTariff for Band A

The Federal Government has approved a reduction in electricity tariffs for Band A customers to N206.80/kWh, down from N225/kWh in Nigeria. Band A customers are defined as electricity consumers receiving a minimum of 20 hours of power supply daily. It’s Tariff Hike or Total Blackout – Minister of Power

Nigerians appear to be facing a choice between complete power blackout or tariff hike. This is the conclusion going by the statement issued by the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu. According to him, Nigeria faces a looming threat of nationwide power cuts within three months if the government doesn't proceed with the electricity tariff hike.
