2023: UK Will Deny Election Riggers Visa, British High Commissioner Says

British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has disclosed that the United Kingdom will not grant visas to Nigerians who rig election in 2023. Unknown attackers on Tuesday razed two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Ebonyi State, marking the fourth incident of an arson attack on an INEC office in one week. Recall that hoodlums also attacked an INEC office in Enugu State on Monday, burning about six cars though the prompt response of the security personnel preempted further damage. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is considering making the National Identity Number, NIN, compulsory for registering voters when the continuous voter registration exercise begins soon.
