Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, lashed out at Dino Melaye, spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential campaign council during a presidential town hall meeting in Abuja. Atiku Won’t Allow Wike Pull Down PDP – Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will not allow anyone, not even Governor Nyesom Wike to pull down the party. According to Melaye, the rift between Atiku and Wike was a small issue that will be resolved. Atiku: Dino Melaye Speaks On Tambuwal Betraying Wike During PDP Primaries

Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye has dismissed claims that Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State betrayed his Rivers counterpart, Nyesom Wike during the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primary election. Tambuwal had withdrawn from the presidential race and supported former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. Tambuwal’s action is widely believed to have led to Atiku clinching the party’s presidential ticket. The Waziri of Adamawa polled 371 votes to defeat Wike who had 237 votes, and Saraki with 70. But, Wike had accused Tambuwal, delegates, and governors of betraying him during the convention. The serving House of Representative member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Tajudeen Yusuf, on Tuesday, defeated Dino Melaye, n the re-run election to pick the Kogi West Senatorial ticket of the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the election, held on Monday, ended in deadlock as both aspirants scored 88 votes respectively.
