Court Orders Final Forfeiture Of Diezani Allison Madueke’s Land In Lekki To FG

Justice Akintayo Aluko of a Federal High Court in Lagos, on Friday, directed the Federal Government to permanently take over a vacant plot of land linked to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke. Justice Aluko’s order of the final forfeiture of the land located at Plot 13, Block I, Oniru Chieftaincy Family Private Estate, Lekki, Lagos, after listening to an application to that effect from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The application was filed by Ansalem B. Ozioko on behalf of the Head of Legal Section of the EFCC and argued by Abbas Mohammed, a Legal Officer in the Commission. EFCC Official Reveals AGF Malami’s Role In Unfreezing Accounts

In a leaked audio, an operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mohammed Idris, has revealed how the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, compromised cases of corruption in the country. Mr Malami had recommended the appointment of the current EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, to President Muhammadu Buhari in February this year. Femi Fani-Kayode Docked Over ‘Forgery Of Medical Report’

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has been docked before Justice O. Abike-Fadipe of Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja for alleged forgery. Fani-Kayode was charged before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a 12-count charge bordering on fraudulent use of false documents. According to the prosecution, Femi Fani-Kayode on October 11, 2021, in Lagos fraudulent representation procured one Dr Ogieva Oziegbe to execute a document titled: “MEDICAL REPORT ON Olufemi Fani Kayode 60 YEARS/MALE/HOSP. NO.00345” and purported same to have been issued by Kubwa General Hospital. The Nigeria Police Force has debunked reports that suspended Deputy-commissioner of Police Abba Kyari has been recalled to resume work. The spokesperson for the police, Commissioner Frank Mba dismissed the report. “How can the police recall an officer suspended by the Police Service Commission? he said. Abdulazeez Ganduje, the first son of the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, has fled to Egypt with his family after exposing his mother’s alleged corruption. Mr Abdulazeez had dragged his mum, Hafsat Ganduje, to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, for alleged corruption. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken into custody a former Abia Governor, Sen. Theodore Orji and his son, Chinedu over alleged N48billion security votes. The two leaders are also expected to account for N2billion Ecological Fund and conversion of Sure-P funds.
