Slain Super TV boss Usifo Ataga Laid to Rest

The remains of slain CEO Super TV Micheal Usifo Ataga were on Friday interred in a private ceremony at the Ebony Vaults in Ikoyi, Lagos amid eulogies and tears from family members, close associates and other sympathisers. The service of songs and funeral rites on Thursday and Friday respectively held amid tight security. The Nation reports Ataga was found dead in an apartment at Lekki last month. He was murdered few days to his 50th birthday. Revealed! Alleged Killer of Super TV CEO Booked Apartment with Fake name, Jewel

A preliminary police report on the alleged murder of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, has shown that the prime suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu, used the name ‘Jewel’ to book the short let apartment on Adebowale Oshin Street, Lekki Phase I, Lagos, where Ataga was killed. The report also indicated that several calls placed to a phone number with which 21-year-old Ojukwu booked didn’t go through after Ataga’s body was discovered in the room on Wednesday, June 16. The Lagos State Police Command has released the father of a 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos, who allegedly stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death. Men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested the father Chidinma Ojukwu, who allegedly stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death. A top police source, who pleaded anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, told PUNCH Metro that the suspect and her father were arrested at their residence, No. 57 Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba, on Wednesday. The source said the father was arrested for resisting Chidinma’s arrest and for becoming violent with policemen, who went to apprehend her.
