Gbenga, the husband of slain Lagos lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, on Thursday, at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, recounted how his wife struggled to survive as three hospitals refused to attend to her. The late lawyer was shot to death on Christmas Day by an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi. The husband also told the court she received the Toyota Venza in which she was shot as a gift on Friday, December 23, 2022, two days before her death. Raheem: Court To Commence Killer Cop’s Trial Monday

A Lagos State High Court has scheduled Monday (today) to commence the trial of ASP Drambi Vandi, who allegedly killed a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs Omobolanle Raheem. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Vandi who was attached to Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah area of Lagos State, allegedly shot and killed Raheem while she was returning from church service with her family on Christmas Day. The lawyer was killed at Ajah, Lagos State. Police Suspends Bolanle Raheem’s Killer, MBA Seeks N5bn Compensation

The Police Service Commission, PSC, on Thursday ratified the immediate suspension of ASP Drambi Vandi who is suspected to have shot and killed pregnant Lagos lawyer, Bolanle Raheem. The development was confirmed by the PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, in a statement issued after the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, recommended that Vandi be suspended for shooting and killing Raheem in the Ajah axis of Lagos State on Christmas Day.
