APC Extends Caretaker Committee’s Tenure

The tenure of Governor Mai Buni led caretaker extraordinary convention planning committee of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has been extended by six months. The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party reached the agreement at a meeting attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and other party stalwarts. Breaking: APC Wins Borno Assembly By-election

The All Progressives Congress APC has won the two State Assembly seats conducted on Saturday in Borno state. Announcing the results in Briyel, headquarters of Bayo Local Government, the INEC Returning Officer Professor Gurama Abubakar declared Maina Maigari of the APC winner with 15,484 votes to defeat six other contestants. Also, in Gajiram, Nganzai local government, the returning officer, Dr Kamsulum Umar declared APC candidate Mahommed Gajiram winner of the State Assembly seat with 8885 votes and returned elected. The by-election was held following the demise of the two House of Assembly members during the COVID-19.

The Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday announced the commencement of the party membership registration and revalidation. The exercise which will last for four weeks will take place simultaneously in all the wards in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
