Gunmen Attack: Soludo Safe, Anambra Police Confirm

Following the gunmen attack on the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Charles Soludo, the Anambra State police command has confirmed he is safe. Soludo was attacked by unknown gunmen during a rally he held in Isuofia community in the Aguata Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday. Gunmen invaded the venue, shooting sporadically into the air, and killing three of the security details of the ex-CBN governor. The state police boss, Monday Kuryas, in an interview with Channels TV, said Soludo is safe. The Anambra State Police Command has paraded fourteen males suspects who are engaged in illegal revenue collection and armed robbery in different parts of Onitsha. The suspects who were paraded at the Police Area Command Headquarters, Onitsha, were arrested in separate raids by the command's patrol team. Among the fourteen suspects were two teenagers, who were arrested separately at Nkpor Junction and Awada Obosi while robbing people of their belongings with a make-shift gun at night.
